If you have never done this sort of thing before, you do not need to worry—we are very supportive, and will give you help to get you going!

We are so pleased to announce that we have a vendor: Cookin A.T. the Ranch!!!! Please bring your appetites and support them, because they will be at all of our events, and they have YUMMIE FOOD and DRINKS!!!!! The menu for Sat is on the website as well.

Please come and join us in the FUN, and remember–this is a BUCKLE SERIES, and we have PRIZES through 6th place in each level !!!!!!! The more times you can come to these (they will all be on the 3rd Saturday of each month through October) the better chance you have of placing to win a buckle or prize!

This Saturday, May 12, we are having a Horsemanship Class for the Snowflake Pioneer Rodeo Queens. It will start at 8:00am. We are very excited to be helping these young ladies to reach their goals and achievements!!

Following this we will be holding a Ranch Roping Class, starting at noon!!

May is going to kick off alot of FUN HORSE EVENTS at THE HUNT RANCH ARENA!!!!!!!

We are SO HAPPY to be starting up our 2nd Annual TRAIL CHALLENGE COMPETITION on May 19th!!!!!!!This is a BUCKLE SERIES, with other prizes through 6th place in each level !!!!!!!!!!

We are also EXCITED to announce our 1st ever COW SORTING COMPETITION on May 26th!!!!!!!!!!

This is a BUCKLE SERIES as well, with buckles being awarded to the CHAMPION  and RESERVE CHAMPION!!!!!

There is going to be a FOOD VENDOR—”Cookin AT the Ranch” with some very YUMMY FOOD and DRINK!!!!!

Cow Sorting is Soooo Fun!!!!

This Saturday, April 28, we will be holding a RANCH ROPING (Branding-style roping) Class!!!!!! This is a VERY FUN HORSE SPORT, and even if you or your horse have never done this before, we can teach you how and get your horse good with it as well !!!! People who never thought they would be interested in roping have ended up trying it and becoming quite good at it, and you can, too!!!!!!

We will start at 11:00am, and go about 3 hours—ALL FOR ONLY $20.00 per person!!!!!!!!!

At 2:00pm, we will be having a COW SORTING JACKPOT!!!!!!!! This will be a draw for teams, with a 50% PAYBACK!!!!!!! The cost is only $20.00 per person and you get 2 runs!!!!!!!

We will be having our 2nd 5-Drum Barrel Race this Saturday, April 21 !!!!!!!!!

Sign-ups are at 10:00am, and we start at 11:00

The JACKPOT this time will be Washington Poles!!!!!!

We will have food and drinks for sale: BBQ Angus Cheeseburgers, BBQ Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs, Chips, and Drinks!!!!!

This Saturday, April 14, we will be having the Stops and Spins Class!!!!!! We will be addressing all levels of abilities individually. Even if you never plan on showing your horse in reining, or associated events, the movements that we will be teaching the horses to do will benefit you and your horse in many other ways!!!!!

The class will begin at 11:00am and go until 2:00pm, and still at ONLY $20.00!!!!!!!

Following, we will be holding our Cow Sorting Practice from 2:00pm on. Remember, we will be having our first ever COW SORTING BUCKLE SERIES, starting on May 26, so this is the perfect time to get in some practice (or learn) this AWESOME SPORT!!!!!!!!

Oct 13–Awarding of buckles!!!!!

Sign-up is at 9:00am

Start time is 10:00am

You must attend at least 3 competitions to be eligible for the buckle

There will be teams of 2 riders

If anyone does not have a partner, one will be drawn for them

The team will have 1 minute to move 5 cows from one side of the sorting pen to the other side in numerical order, starting with a certain number drawn from a hat

If a cow goes across the line out of order, the run is over with a no-time

There is no roughing of the cattle allowed

1 point will be given for each cow that crosses the line in the correct order within the allotted time

Points will accumulate over the 6-month series, with the Champion being the person with the most points, and Reserve Champion the person with the next highest points, with buckles awarded to each!!!!!

We will be holding Cow Sorting Practice every week throughout the spring, summer, and fall, and you can also have private lessons or time on the cattle by appointment–just call 928-245-8111 or email cowgirlmaryann@gmail.com
