Acquiring skills to handle cattle

“Playing” with cows while riding your horse is one of the funnest things you will ever do!!!!!!

Everyone at Hunt Ranch Arena is very supportive and helpful, so no need to feel shy about jumping in on something new like the cattle work!!!!!!!!!

We have a low-stress way of introducing horses to cattle, and almost every horse and rider can do it.

Working with cows  is a great way to improve your horsemanship as well as helping your horse to understand some of the training principles you have been trying to teach him/her.

This field can also give alot of stress relief to the performance horse that works continuously in any certain disclipline.

We “rent” the cows by the hour if you just want to use them yourself, or we offer group Ranch Sorting.

You can also have private lessons on the cows.

There are practice sessions on the weekends (or anytime by appointment)

Starting in the spring of 2012, we will be holding a point-system series for the Ranch Sorting that will culminate in prizes at the end of the season!!!!!!!
